PW-USA - Pro Wrestling TV 05/09/1992

September 5th 1992

Providence Civic Center - Providence, Rhode Island

The show opens with a wide shot panning around the Providence Civic Center as Pomp and Circumstance hits the arena. The camera focuses on the entrance way as Randy Savage enters to a rapturous ovation he doesn't appear to be in his usual 100% condition slowly making his way to the ring. Where we see Joey Styles and Jesse Ventura awaiting his presence. A RANDY SAVAGE chant starts to over ride the Macho Man's music.

Joey Styles: Macho Man Randy Savage you have felt the force of the Revolution you aren't in 100% condition and tonight you have to face Ric Flair in the Global Heavyweight Title Tournament.

'Macho Man' Randy Savage: You know what Joey Styles here I am unjustifibly I'd rather not be in, but the cream always rises to the top. Macho Man has got more fight in him than everyone thinks. I don't need Jerry Lawler's help or a steel cage, the card has been stack against Macho Man Randy Savage. Let me point  to 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair you have to step into the ring with me tonight and be under no illusions I am the cream in the Pro Wrestling USA, and Joey Styles you know I am the cream right here in PW USA.

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: Let me get this straight Savage do you blame Ric Flair for the position you find yourself in tonight? A man who has been backed into a corner by Jerry Lawler and isn't allowed his executive consultant Mr Perfect at ringside tonight!

'Macho Man' Randy Savage: Jesse Ventura, I am the cream but my world has turned into a nightmare. I'm not going to run away though, on balance, off balance, tape round my wrists, tape round my ribs. There's no one who does it quite like me, or half as well as me. I'm putting everyone in PW USA on notice whether your name is Ric Flair or Terry Funk even you Big Van Vader I haven't forgotten about you, the cream is on the rise and at Fall Brawl the Global Heavyweight Title will fall to 'THE MACHO MAN' RANDY SAVAGE!!!  OOOOOHHHH, YYYYEEEAAAHHHH!!!!!

Joey Styles: Well Randy Savage will face Ric Flair in our main event tonight with Revolution barred from ringside or interfering lets get this show on the road with our first global tag team title tournament semi final!

The ring announcer introduces Dynamic Execution but before he can introduce The Midnight Express, Jim Cornette makes his way to the ring and snatches the microphone away.

Jim Cornette: God knows where Giant Baba found you and I have no idea what your name is but my Midnight Express need a world class introduction and that can only be provided by myself.

Cornette swings his tennis racket in the direction of the ring announcer who dodges it and jumps out of the ring looking back in disgust at Cornette.

Jim Cornette: Providence, Rhode Island please show your appreciation for the best tag team in the world today. That dispose of trash like you see in the ring right now to my right. Hailing from the Dark Side, 'BEAUTIFUL' BOBBY EATION AND 'LOVER BOY' DENNIS CONDEREY.... THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!!!!

The referee didn't see the illegal blow! 1...2...3!

Winners: via pinfall The Midnight Express (11 minutes 04 seconds)

Dynamite Kid springs straight back up to his feet as does Bobby Eaton, Dynamite levels Eaton with a vicious clothesline knocking him to the canvas Dennis Conderey from the outside of the ring and drags Eaton from the ring. Eaton wobbly onto his legs from the clothesline. The Midnight Express high tail it from the ring as Jim Cornette grabs a microphone.

Jim Cornette: Dynamite Kid just proved my point these men are complete garbage, striking my most technically skilled wrestler in Bobby Eaton from behind his back. Jerry Lawler if this is the type of control you have over the roster, I'll go above your head and straight to Mr Baba. Because this is disgusting! If this is how the best tag team in the world today is going to be treated maybe we won't be around here in PW USA much longer!!!!

Jim Cornette slams down the microphone as the scene fades.

**43 minutes remaining**

**Commercial Break**

Joey Styles: Before the break we saw Jim Cornette complaining that Dynamite Kid attacked Bobby Eaton after the bell, he must of missed Bobby Eaton grabbing a handful of tights during the 3 counts

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: That's slanderous Joey Styles it was an accomplished wrestling move from 'Beautiful' Bobby

Joey Styles: Well during the break we've had word for Jerry Lawler that if Cornette, Eaton and Condrey want to break their written contracts he'll have the PW USA lawyers draw up legal papers and sue them for breach of contract.

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: Just another piece of evidence that the power has gone straight to Lawler's head!

Joey Styles: Well some would say he's doing a good job in controlling the roster from descending into anarchy, and he's also given up the Monster Factor Developmental initiative which we're about to see now!!! Currently in the ring from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is a young wrestler by the name of Wild Pegasus about to go one on one with Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat!

Ricky Steamboat vs Wild Pegasus

Pegasus hits a dropkick on Ricky Steamboat. Super frankensteiner on Steamboat, who hit hard. Cover for a two count. Steamboat counters an avalanche with a raised foot to the face. That looked brutal. Ricky Steamboat floors Wild Pegasus...and climbs the turnbuckles. Off the top - Flying Cross Body, forget about it. 1....2...3!

Winner: via pinfall Ricky Steamboat (6 minutes 34 seconds)

Ricky Steamboat offers a handshake to Pegasus...and he accepts it! No! Wild Pegasus levels Steamboat with a cheap shot right hand! Wild Pegasus grabs a waist lock and slams Steamboat down with a vicious German Suplex. Wild Pegasus leaves to the ring to over whelming boos from the Providence crowd. As he gets to the entrance Steven Regal walks out to even more rapturous booing from the Rhode Island faithful.

Regal is dressed in his best suit and smiles at Wild Pegasus retrieving what looks like a roll of $100 bills from his breast pocked and counting out 10 handing them to the rookie who shakes Regal's hand before departing. Regal makes his way to the ring he steps up onto the ring apron and starts stomping over Ricky Steamboat... Out of nowhere though The Great Muta hits the ring and Regal bails out leaving Ricky Steamboat worse for wear whilst The Great Muta check upon him.

***********

The scene fades backstage and we see The Dangerous Alliance, Paul E. Dangerously flanked by The Hollywood Blondes on his right side, Owen Hart and The British Bulldog on his left hand side.

Paul E. Dangerously: This is a united front, we fight from the greater good of this alliance. I have the best two tag teams in professional wrestling today at my disposal. Bulldog and Owen have the chance to face The Midnight Express at Fall Brawl and we as an alliance will make sure we do everything in our power that they walk out of the Boston Gardens on September 13th with the Global Tag Team Titles.

Owen Hart: Paul.E those are nice sentiments but we don't need an alliance to get us those straps, Bulldog is the best power house wrestler in the business today, technically gifted and smarter than any American. I am....

Brian Pillman: Why dont you take your head out of your ass and smell the roses. The only reason you are going to get those titles is because you didn't have our backs against the Rock N Roll Express..

British Bulldog: Like you had Owen's last week, you little piss stain!

Steve Austin: Who are you calling piss stain you limey jock!

Both tag teams get in each others faces and start pushing back and forth Paul.E Dangerously in the middle as the scene fades to black.

**Commercial Break**

**34 minutes remaining**

Joey Styles: Before the break we once again saw the dissension in the ranks of The Dangerous Alliance.

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: This seed has been planted by people like you Styles. Paul.E is a winner and he's trying to make his two teams winners and everything has been ruined because of people like you!

Joey Styles: It's got nothing to do with the obvious tension between Pillman and Owen at all? these two guys both came out of Stampede Wrestling were both top dogs in that promotion and have a natural rivalry to be the best!

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: That maybe so but there's a wedge been driven that didn't need to be!

Joey Styles: Well we will see if they are on the same page next, Bulldog and Owen face off against the team that defeated The Hollywood Blondes on our debut show.. The Rock N Roll Express

British Bulldog and Owen Hart vs The Rock'N'Roll Express

Robert Gibson hits some punches. Rude Awakening on British Bulldog by Gibson. There's a two count on the pin. Tag between Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton. Bulldog blocks the suplex attempt. Bulldog hits a stump piledriver on Ricky Morton. There's a two count on the pin. Tag to Owen Hart. Flying cross body off the top rope! Even Steamboat would have applauded the execution on that. Pinfall attempt gets a 2.9999. Second rope flying axe handle, Morton goes down. Ricky Morton powers out of a Owen Hart headlock. Big clothesline on Hart. Morton tags out to Robert Gibson. Hart receives some punishment. Tag to British Bulldog. Big backdrop on Bulldog, executed well. The Hollywood Blonds come running down the aisle and into the ring! Bulldog turns...and is dropped with a double DDT! Bulldog in big trouble. Robert Gibson has ascended to the the top rop Bulldog is out of it and Gibson flies off with a fist drop covering Bulldog 1...2...3

Winners: via pinfall Rock N Roll Express (9 minutes 01 seconds)

The Hollywood Blondes flee the ring as Owen Hart jumps back inside. Owen is fuming as The Blondes back up the aisle way taunting him.

Joey Styles: Surely this is the end of Alliance between Owen & Bulldog and the Hollywood Blondes

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: This is a disaster Paul.E Dangerously must be tearing his hair out backstage!

**Commercial Break**

**23 minutes remaining**

We see Cactus Jack in a dark parking lot, he is pacing around muttering to himself he sweeps his right hand through his mangled hair exposing the scars of various hardcore battles. He stares direct into the camera and takes a deep breath...

Cactus Jack: Jake Roberts last week I watched as Revolution kicked and smashed the hell out of my mentor inside of a steel cage. A steel cage that you were locked inside of at the same time. AND YOU SAT THERE AND LAUGHED! Jake Roberts, A lot of people call Cactus Jack sick and twisted but I have compassion. Jake Roberts where was your compassion when you were kicking that chain link fence stopping me from getting to Revolution. I'm making a plea to Jerry Lawler now, give me Jake Robertss at Fall Brawl, because if you don't the sick twisted Cactus Jack won't be held liable for his actions.... BANG! BANG!

****************

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: You see Styles yet more proof Lawler putting that cage up last week was a bad idea.

Joey Styles: I'm starting to agree with you Jesse, we will have to wait and see what Lawler has in response for Cactus Jack. We know what he has in store for Ric Flair tonight though, if any of the Revolution interfere on behalf of Ric Flair he will be booted from the Global Heavyweight Title Tournament.

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: Yet more favouritism from Lawler, Mr Perfect is Ric Flair's executive consultant and should be allowed ringside with the Nature Boy.

Joey Styles: Thats a good one Jesse, enough talk thought lets go up to the ring for our main event of the evening!!!

Ric Flair vs Randy Savage

Double arm suplex by Ric Flair, Savage hits hard. Flair drives a forearm into the chest of Savage. Ric Flair snap suplexes Savage...with authority! ('With authority', trademark G.Monsoon 1986.) Hard impact russian legsweep by Flair. If you're going to get impact, 'hard' is probably a good way to go. Savage counters a backdrop attempt with a kick to the face. Flying shoulder tackle by Savage sends Flair to the mat. Randy Savage hits a bulldog off the ropes. There's a two count on the pin. Flair drops out the back of a Randy Savage bodyslam attempt. Spine shattering vicious back suplex! Randy Savage got absolutely creamed. There's a two count on the pin. Burning Hammer Drop from Ric Flair, executed with perfect brutally. Pin, but Savage is out just before the three count. Randy Savage pulls a mule kick out of nowhere but misses and knocks down the referee. Flair takes a headbutt from Randy Savage. Flair counters a backdrop attempt with a kick to the face. Gut buster, Savage hits hard. Out of nowhere a masked man comes jumping over the guardrail a steel chair in hand as Flair whips Randy Savage into the ropes. The masked man jumps onto the apron with the chair! and slams it into Savage's rib's.Randy Savage staggers back into a roll up! and the referee slowly gets into position 1...2...3!

The masked man jumps back into the crowd escapes from sight as Arn Anderson, Mr Perfect and Steven Regal run to ringside and through the crowd after the masked man.

Joey Styles: Randy Savage just got screwed!

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: But it was nothing to do with Flair!

Joey Styles: It might not of been a recognised member of Revolution but I can't buy that Jesse!

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: Revolution kept their end of the deal up, Jerry Lawler has to keep his end up!

Joey Styles: This one will run all week Jesse, we're out of time though... Ric Flair rightly or wrong will face Terry Funk at Fall Brawl for the Global Heavyweight Title. From Jesse Venutra, I'm Joey Styles we'll see you next week!!!!
