PW-USA - Pro Wrestling TV 05/09/1992

September 5th 1992

Providence Civic Center - Providence, Rhode Island

The show opens with a wide shot panning around the Providence Civic Center as Pomp and Circumstance hits the arena. The camera focuses on the entrance way as Randy Savage enters to a rapturous ovation he doesn't appear to be in his usual 100% condition slowly making his way to the ring. Where we see Joey Styles and Jesse Ventura awaiting his presence. A RANDY SAVAGE chant starts to over ride the Macho Man's music.

Joey Styles: Macho Man Randy Savage you have felt the force of the Revolution you aren't in 100% condition and tonight you have to face Ric Flair in the Global Heavyweight Title Tournament.

'Macho Man' Randy Savage: You know what Joey Styles here I am unjustifibly I'd rather not be in, but the cream always rises to the top. Macho Man has got more fight in him than everyone thinks. I don't need Jerry Lawler's help or a steel cage, the card has been stack against Macho Man Randy Savage. Let me point  to 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair you have to step into the ring with me tonight and be under no illusions I am the cream in the Pro Wrestling USA, and Joey Styles you know I am the cream right here in PW USA.

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: Let me get this straight Savage do you blame Ric Flair for the position you find yourself in tonight? A man who has been backed into a corner by Jerry Lawler and isn't allowed his executive consultant Mr Perfect at ringside tonight!

'Macho Man' Randy Savage: Jesse Ventura, I am the cream but my world has turned into a nightmare. I'm not going to run away though, on balance, off balance, tape round my wrists, tape round my ribs. There's no one who does it quite like me, or half as well as me. I'm putting everyone in PW USA on notice whether your name is Ric Flair or Terry Funk even you Big Van Vader I haven't forgotten about you, the cream is on the rise and at Fall Brawl the Global Heavyweight Title will fall to 'THE MACHO MAN' RANDY SAVAGE!!!  OOOOOHHHH, YYYYEEEAAAHHHH!!!!!

Joey Styles: Well Randy Savage will face Ric Flair in our main event tonight with Revolution barred from ringside or interfering lets get this show on the road with our first global tag team title tournament semi final!

The ring announcer introduces Dynamic Execution but before he can introduce The Midnight Express, Jim Cornette makes his way to the ring and snatches the microphone away.

Jim Cornette: God knows where Giant Baba found you and I have no idea what your name is but my Midnight Express need a world class introduction and that can only be provided by myself.

Cornette swings his tennis racket in the direction of the ring announcer who dodges it and jumps out of the ring looking back in disgust at Cornette.

Jim Cornette: Providence, Rhode Island please show your appreciation for the best tag team in the world today. That dispose of trash like you see in the ring right now to my right. Hailing from the Dark Side, 'BEAUTIFUL' BOBBY EATION AND 'LOVER BOY' DENNIS CONDEREY.... THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!!!!

Dynamic Execution vs. The Midnight Express

Eaton hits a wicked chop that echoes through the building. Kid takes a flying neckbreaker from Bobby Eaton. There's a two count on the pin. Tag between Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey. The Hitman gets caught with a belly to belly suplex from Eaton. Tag between Bret Hart and The Dynamite Kid. Kid takes a flying neckbreaker from Bobby Eaton. The Dynamite Kid tries to get a big slam, but it is blocked when Eaton goes to the eyes! Bobby Eaton quickly scores with a field-goal kick between the legs! The Dynamite Kid collapses! The referee didn't see the illegal blow! 1...2...3!

Winners: via pinfall The Midnight Express (11 minutes 04 seconds)

Dynamite Kid springs straight back up to his feet as does Bobby Eaton, Dynamite levels Eaton with a vicious clothesline knocking him to the canvas Dennis Conderey from the outside of the ring and drags Eaton from the ring. Eaton wobbly onto his legs from the clothesline. The Midnight Express high tail it from the ring as Jim Cornette grabs a microphone.

Jim Cornette: Dynamite Kid just proved my point these men are complete garbage, striking my most technically skilled wrestler in Bobby Eaton from behind his back. Jerry Lawler if this is the type of control you have over the roster, I'll go above your head and straight to Mr Baba. Because this is disgusting! If this is how the best tag team in the world today is going to be treated maybe we won't be around here in PW USA much longer!!!!

Jim Cornette slams down the microphone as the scene fades.

**43 minutes remaining**

**Commercial Break**

Joey Styles: Before the break we saw Jim Cornette complaining that Dynamite Kid attacked Bobby Eaton after the bell, he must of missed Bobby Eaton grabbing a handful of tights during the 3 counts

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: That's slanderous Joey Styles it was an accomplished wrestling move from 'Beautiful' Bobby

Joey Styles: Well during the break we've had word for Jerry Lawler that if Cornette, Eaton and Condrey want to break their written contracts he'll have the PW USA lawyers draw up legal papers and sue them for breach of contract.

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: Just another piece of evidence that the power has gone straight to Lawler's head!

Joey Styles: Well some would say he's doing a good job in controlling the roster from descending into anarchy, and he's also given up the Monster Factor Developmental initiative which we're about to see now!!! Currently in the ring from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is a young wrestler by the name of Wild Pegasus about to go one on one with Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat!

Ricky Steamboat vs Wild Pegasus

Pegasus hits a dropkick on Ricky Steamboat. Super frankensteiner on Steamboat, who hit hard. Cover for a two count. Steamboat counters an avalanche with a raised foot to the face. Spinning back kick from Ricky Steamboat. Steamboat uses a basement dropkick to the knee. Cover for a two count. Springboard dropkick from Ricky Steamboat. Nicely done. Hooks the leg for a close fall. Pegasus takes a flying neckbreaker from Ricky Steamboat. Wild Pegasus avoids a Ricky Steamboat avalanche. Springboard reverse elbow by Wild Pegasus. Excellent move. There's a two count on the pin. Pegasus hits a massive spinning kick to the jaw. Ricky Steamboat ducks a clothesline attempt. Pegasus takes a flying neckbreaker from Ricky Steamboat. DDT from the top rope by Ricky Steamboat. That looked brutal. Ricky Steamboat floors Wild Pegasus...and climbs the turnbuckles. Off the top - Flying Cross Body, forget about it. 1....2...3!

Winner: via pinfall Ricky Steamboat (6 minutes 34 seconds)

Ricky Steamboat offers a handshake to Pegasus...and he accepts it! No! Wild Pegasus levels Steamboat with a cheap shot right hand! Wild Pegasus grabs a waist lock and slams Steamboat down with a vicious German Suplex. Wild Pegasus leaves to the ring to over whelming boos from the Providence crowd. As he gets to the entrance Steven Regal walks out to even more rapturous booing from the Rhode Island faithful.

Regal is dressed in his best suit and smiles at Wild Pegasus retrieving what looks like a roll of $100 bills from his breast pocked and counting out 10 handing them to the rookie who shakes Regal's hand before departing. Regal makes his way to the ring he steps up onto the ring apron and starts stomping over Ricky Steamboat... Out of nowhere though The Great Muta hits the ring and Regal bails out leaving Ricky Steamboat worse for wear whilst The Great Muta check upon him.

***********

The scene fades backstage and we see The Dangerous Alliance, Paul E. Dangerously flanked by The Hollywood Blondes on his right side, Owen Hart and The British Bulldog on his left hand side.

Paul E. Dangerously: This is a united front, we fight from the greater good of this alliance. I have the best two tag teams in professional wrestling today at my disposal. Bulldog and Owen have the chance to face The Midnight Express at Fall Brawl and we as an alliance will make sure we do everything in our power that they walk out of the Boston Gardens on September 13th with the Global Tag Team Titles.

Owen Hart: Paul.E those are nice sentiments but we don't need an alliance to get us those straps, Bulldog is the best power house wrestler in the business today, technically gifted and smarter than any American. I am....

Brian Pillman: Why dont you take your head out of your ass and smell the roses. The only reason you are going to get those titles is because you didn't have our backs against the Rock N Roll Express..

British Bulldog: Like you had Owen's last week, you little piss stain!

Steve Austin: Who are you calling piss stain you limey jock!

Both tag teams get in each others faces and start pushing back and forth Paul.E Dangerously in the middle as the scene fades to black.

**Commercial Break**

**34 minutes remaining**

Joey Styles: Before the break we once again saw the dissension in the ranks of The Dangerous Alliance.

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: This seed has been planted by people like you Styles. Paul.E is a winner and he's trying to make his two teams winners and everything has been ruined because of people like you!

Joey Styles: It's got nothing to do with the obvious tension between Pillman and Owen at all? these two guys both came out of Stampede Wrestling were both top dogs in that promotion and have a natural rivalry to be the best!

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: That maybe so but there's a wedge been driven that didn't need to be!

Joey Styles: Well we will see if they are on the same page next, Bulldog and Owen face off against the team that defeated The Hollywood Blondes on our debut show.. The Rock N Roll Express

British Bulldog and Owen Hart vs The Rock'N'Roll Express

Robert Gibson hits some punches. Rude Awakening on British Bulldog by Gibson. There's a two count on the pin. Tag between Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton. The Rock'N'Roll Express whip Bulldog into the ropes and hit a double back elbow. There's a two count on the pin. Hard back suplex on Bulldog. Anyone remember when that was Shawn Michaels's finisher? Bulldog blocks the suplex attempt. Bulldog hits a stump piledriver on Ricky Morton. There's a two count on the pin. Tag to Owen Hart. Flying cross body off the top rope! Even Steamboat would have applauded the execution on that. Pinfall attempt gets a 2.9999. Second rope flying axe handle, Morton goes down. Ricky Morton powers out of a Owen Hart headlock. Big clothesline on Hart. Morton tags out to Robert Gibson. Hart receives some punishment. Tag to British Bulldog. Big backdrop on Bulldog, executed well. The Hollywood Blonds come running down the aisle and into the ring! Bulldog turns...and is dropped with a double DDT! Bulldog in big trouble. Robert Gibson has ascended to the the top rop Bulldog is out of it and Gibson flies off with a fist drop covering Bulldog 1...2...3

Winners: via pinfall Rock N Roll Express (9 minutes 01 seconds)

The Hollywood Blondes flee the ring as Owen Hart jumps back inside. Owen is fuming as The Blondes back up the aisle way taunting him.

Joey Styles: Surely this is the end of Alliance between Owen & Bulldog and the Hollywood Blondes

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: This is a disaster Paul.E Dangerously must be tearing his hair out backstage!

**Commercial Break**

**23 minutes remaining**

We see Cactus Jack in a dark parking lot, he is pacing around muttering to himself he sweeps his right hand through his mangled hair exposing the scars of various hardcore battles. He stares direct into the camera and takes a deep breath...

Cactus Jack: Jake Roberts last week I watched as Revolution kicked and smashed the hell out of my mentor inside of a steel cage. A steel cage that you were locked inside of at the same time. AND YOU SAT THERE AND LAUGHED! Jake Roberts, A lot of people call Cactus Jack sick and twisted but I have compassion. Jake Roberts where was your compassion when you were kicking that chain link fence stopping me from getting to Revolution. I'm making a plea to Jerry Lawler now, give me Jake Robertss at Fall Brawl, because if you don't the sick twisted Cactus Jack won't be held liable for his actions.... BANG! BANG!

****************

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: You see Styles yet more proof Lawler putting that cage up last week was a bad idea.

Joey Styles: I'm starting to agree with you Jesse, we will have to wait and see what Lawler has in response for Cactus Jack. We know what he has in store for Ric Flair tonight though, if any of the Revolution interfere on behalf of Ric Flair he will be booted from the Global Heavyweight Title Tournament.

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: Yet more favouritism from Lawler, Mr Perfect is Ric Flair's executive consultant and should be allowed ringside with the Nature Boy.

Joey Styles: Thats a good one Jesse, enough talk thought lets go up to the ring for our main event of the evening!!!

Ric Flair vs Randy Savage

Double arm suplex by Ric Flair, Savage hits hard. Flair drives a forearm into the chest of Savage. Ric Flair snap suplexes Savage...with authority! ('With authority', trademark G.Monsoon 1986.) Hard impact russian legsweep by Flair. If you're going to get impact, 'hard' is probably a good way to go. Savage counters a backdrop attempt with a kick to the face. Flying shoulder tackle by Savage sends Flair to the mat. Randy Savage hits a bulldog off the ropes. There's a two count on the pin. Flair drops out the back of a Randy Savage bodyslam attempt. Spine shattering vicious back suplex! Randy Savage got absolutely creamed. There's a two count on the pin. Burning Hammer Drop from Ric Flair, executed with perfect brutally. Pin, but Savage is out just before the three count. Randy Savage pulls a mule kick out of nowhere but misses and knocks down the referee. Flair takes a headbutt from Randy Savage. Flair counters a backdrop attempt with a kick to the face. Gut buster, Savage hits hard. Out of nowhere a masked man comes jumping over the guardrail a steel chair in hand as Flair whips Randy Savage into the ropes. The masked man jumps onto the apron with the chair! and slams it into Savage's rib's.Randy Savage staggers back into a roll up! and the referee slowly gets into position 1...2...3!

The masked man jumps back into the crowd escapes from sight as Arn Anderson, Mr Perfect and Steven Regal run to ringside and through the crowd after the masked man.

Joey Styles: Randy Savage just got screwed!

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: But it was nothing to do with Flair!

Joey Styles: It might not of been a recognised member of Revolution but I can't buy that Jesse!

Jesse 'The Body' Ventura: Revolution kept their end of the deal up, Jerry Lawler has to keep his end up!

Joey Styles: This one will run all week Jesse, we're out of time though... Ric Flair rightly or wrong will face Terry Funk at Fall Brawl for the Global Heavyweight Title. From Jesse Venutra, I'm Joey Styles we'll see you next week!!!!

PW-USA - Pro Wrestling TV 29/08/1992

August 29th 1992

Hammerstein Ballroom - New York City, NY

The show opens with Joey Styles and Jesse Ventura in the ring a rabid New York City crowd blowing the roof off the Hammerstein Ballroom as 'Royalty' blares over the PA system and Jerry Lawler makes his way to the ring to a huge reaction. Lawler steps through the ropes shakes hands with Joey Styles and pauses staring Jesse Ventura straight in the eye before also shaking hands with The Body.

Joey Styles: We are in mid town Manhattan and this is Pro Wrestling USA TV.... Jerry Lawler you shocked the pro wrestling world when you turned down overtures from the World Wrestling Federation and signed a multi year contract with the newest national promotion in the country. You seem to have come in here with a bullseye marked on your back and a number of wrestlers in the back appear unhappy with Mr. Baba's decision to appoint you.

Jerry Lawler: Joey Styles, I could care less what the boys think of me, I've been up and down the road with most of them over the years and after 20 years of killing myself in this ring I've had enough. Mr Baba gave me the opportunity to come here as a trouble shooting commisioner and that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Jesse Ventura: Let me get this straight Lawler you mean you're not going to get in the ring? And take it easy..

Jerry Lawler: I'd thought I would take a leaf out of your book Jesse and do exactly that, you were smarter than the rest of us and packed up while you can still walk.

Joey Styles: I believe you have made some pretty bold moves already, would you share with us what decision you have come to?

Jerry Lawler: You know what I can give you a taster but there are things I'm going to let brew before letting the whole word know about them. For tonight though and the Global Heavyweight Title tournament semi final match between Terry Funk and Jake Roberts it's clear Ric Flair and his Revolution have got a problem with The Funker and in the past two weeks Jake Roberts has had wild brawls all over the arenas with Cactus Jack. I'm not prepared to let this title tournament descend into anarchy so tonight Funk and Roberts will go one on one in the confines of a steel cage.

Jesse Ventura: Some would say Lawler that this stinks because of your history with Funk and putting him in a brutal match to lessen his chances of winning the title. Are you not using Ric Flair's actions as a cushion to hide your real animosity for Funk?

Jerry Lawler: That was 10 years ago Jesse, we need winners and losers here in PW USA and that's what Mr Baba pays me to deliver... Now enough of this talking lets get this show on the road.

Jushin 'Thunder' Liger vs Shawn Michaels

HBK walks into a high dropkick from Jushin Thunder Liger. Liger hits a massive spinning kick to the jaw. Hard back suplex on HBK. Liger hits a dropkick on Shawn Michaels. HBK hits a wicked chop that echoes through the building. HBK only gets knees on a splash. DDT by Jushin Thunder Liger. Brad Armstrong comes running down the aisle and into the ring! Shawn Michaels turns around. Brad Armstrong spins HBK around. Brad Armstrong hits the Russian Legsweep! Brad leaves the ring, the damage done! 1 - 2 - 3.

Winner: via pinfall Jushin 'Thunder' Liger (9 minutes 22 seconds)

Jushin Thunder Liger pinned HBK. Jushin Thunder Liger, having taken the victory thanks to the outside interference of Brad Armstrong, goes over and shakes hands with him, showing that their plan was a success.

Joey Styles: Brad Armstrong continuing to show his true colours attacking Shawn Michaels after their Junior Heavyweight Title tournament match last week and now seemingly alligning with Jushin Liger

Jesse Ventura: He's just showing he's also Violent By Design, Styles. This must be seen as a coup for Harley Race getting a second generation star into his stable.

Joey Styles: We shall have to wait and see but you have got to feel that The Rockers won't be happy and will come after Armstrong for sure as well as Liger. Liger advances to meet the winner of a match later this hour Dynamite Kid v Ricky Morton!!!

**45 minutes remaining**

**Commercial Break**

Jesse Venutra: Make way Styles, we're joined by a man who made his name in booths like this Paul E. Dangerously!

Paul E. Dangerously: Thank you Mr. Ventura I thank you for your warm compliment and now the whole world is going to see the harmony in the Dangerous Alliance when Brian Pillman and Owen Hart out class Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes

Joey Styles: Harmony? Brian Pillman didn't look very harmonious last week when to quote J.R he was stomping a mudhole out of Owen Hart

Paul E. Dangerously: Joey Styles, that was just a difference of opinion, everything is fine between The Hollywood Blondes, Bulldog and Owen.

Jesse Ventura: Just sit back and enjoy Styles, we are in for a treat and also the first hand insight of Mr Dangerously!

Rhodes and Windham vs Owen Hart and Brian Pillman

Hart uses a basement dropkick to the knee. Super frankensteiner on Rhodes, who hit hard. 1 - 2 - shoulder up. Hart tags out to Brian Pillman. Brian Pillman scoops up Rhodes. Rhodes counters a sleeper hold by turning it into a jaw breaker. Death valley driver by Dustin Rhodes, Brian Pillman got planted hard...that was cool. Rhodes tags out to Barry Windham. Bodyslam by Windham. Stiff spinebuster by Barry Windham. Pillman reverses a Barry Windham hammerlock. Tag to Owen Hart. Spinning bulldog in the corner, Windham is down. DDT from the top rope by Owen Hart, that was cool. 1 - 2 - 2.999 Spinny weird kick from Owen Hart. Owen Hart misses a clothesline. Stiff spinebuster by Barry Windham. Owen Hart can barely stand. Lariat! 1....2....3.

Winner: via pinfall Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes (10 minutes 44 seconds)

Pillman and Hart remain in the ring, arguing. Owen Hart looks really angry. Brian Pillman pushes Hart away but levels a punch straight to the jaw of Pillman. Pillman dazed slightly but fires right back... Paul E. Dangerously slams down the announcing headset and runs to the the ring, Steve Austin and The British Bulldog hit the ring as well penning their respective tag partners back in opposite corners. Dangerously grabs a mic and looks furious and nervous at the same time...

Paul.E Dangerously: Guys... Guys... Guys.. we can't keep doing this in public. I have the best two team in pro wrestling today, both of you are as good as each other. We need to do whats best for all of us and get the gold.

Hart and Pillman are both still seething and being held back by Steve Austin and The Bulldog but slowly they get out of the ring gesturing and shouting to each other from opposite sides of the ring.

**31 minutes remaining**

**Commercial Break**

Terry Funk is backstage sat in his dressing room, taping up with hands, he has a towel draped around over the top of his head which is slightly bowed down concetrating on taping his hands

Terry Funk: My father used to use a four letter word, it's a dirty word, it's a shocking word, I can't even think about saying it on national television so I'm going to have to spell it out..

Funk removes the towel from his head and stares unblinkingly into the camera with the four letters printed on his forehead

F - E - A - R

Terry Funk: And that's exactly what Ric Flair has when it comes to me. I've broken his neck, I've taken him to the limit on more than one occasion and now I've becoming the target for his little group. Well when I step inside that steel cage tonight with that Snake, Jake Roberts.. F-E-A-R is the last thing that will be on my mind. I'm gonna climb to the very top of that steel cage, but I'm not going to run away. I'm going to look down and spit on Jake Roberts, then look to the skies and with my daddies help dive off that cage and crush Jake Roberts into dust. Then Ric Flair I will hope and pray that you weasle yourself into the Global Heavyweight Title match at Fall Brawl because I want to see the F-E-A-R in your eyes before I break your neck again for what you have tried to do to me!

The scene cuts to the commentary booth with Joey Styles looking shocked, Jesse Ventura looking speechless...

Joey Styles: Terry Funk not mincing his words...

Jesse Ventura: The man is insane, Jerry Lawler's first full night in the promotion and he's going to have Jake Robert's blood on his hands. What was he thinking when he decided to lock these two men up in cage!

Joey Styles: He wants a fair fight, one that Jake Roberts can't runaway from and one that Ric Flair and his cronies can't get involved in.

Jesse Ventura: It's disgusting, this maybe Lawler's last night with the company it's going to be a disaster.

Joey Styles: Well on the opposite end of the scale the following match should be great The Dynamite Kid about to go up against Ricky Morton!!!

The Dynamite Kid vs Ricky Morton

Big kick on Morton by The Dynamite Kid. Morton walks into a high dropkick from The Dynamite Kid. DDT by The Dynamite Kid. Kid hits a dropkick on Ricky Morton. Kid walks into a trip. Weird-but-cool looking DDT thing from The Dynamite Kid, Morton is out. 1 - 2 - almost a 3. Morton blocks a kick from The Dynamite Kid. Dropkick connects...Kid goes down like a skanky hooker. Ricky Morton gets taken down out of nowhere. Legsweep. There's probably a Japanese name for that....like Golden Dragon Nuclear Spike....that'll do, i'll call it that from now on. The Dynamite Kid has Ricky Morton down on the canvas and is ascending the corner. Through the air, Swandive Headbutt! 1....2....3.

Winner: via pinfall The Dynamite Kid (10 minutes 12 seconds)

The Dynamite Kid offers a handshake to Morton...and he accepts it!

**19 minutes remaining**

**Commercial Break**

Joey Styles: A great show of sportsmanship before the break between Dynamite Kid and Ricky Morton. We now have another match confirmed for Fall Brawl two innovators in junior heavyweight wrestling Jushin Liger will face Dynamite Kid to crown the first PW USA Global Junior Heavyweight Champion.

Jesse Ventura: I can't wait for that Styles it's going to be amazing action, however there's a very uneasy feeling in this arena right now as the steel cage has been place around the ring!

Joey Styles: There is an eerie hush amongst these rabid New York fans an....

'Snakebit' hits the arena and Jake Roberts slowly makes his way to the ring inside the Hammerstein Ballroom a chorus of boos almost drowning out his entrance music. He wanders right around the ring shaking the chain link cage and takes a microphone from the ring announcer.

Jake Roberts: Cut the music......Terry Funk, you may have FEAR on your mind, but I create FEAR in this ring, you may want to dive off the top of this cage and crush my ribs but that FEAR is going to drag you down. Then when I drop you with my DDT the poison while paralyze you in your fearful state and all you will be good for is a pine box and a dirt hole.

Desparado by The Eagles hits the Hammerstein Ballroom and Terry Funk explodes through the curtains sprinting to the ring he makes a beeline for Roberts who charges right at The Funk laying in right and lefts Funk tries to whip Roberts into the barricade but it's reverse and Funk flies back first into the security rail. Roberts then grabs him by the head and rolls him through the cage door.

Terry Funk vs Jake Roberts

Roberts steps up into the ring Terry Funk hits back with some punches. Terry Funk throws Roberts into the cage. Terry Funk climbs the cage, but gets pulled down by Roberts! Thrown slam by Terry Funk. Jake Roberts climbs the cage, but gets pulled down by Funker! Funker kicks Jake Roberts in the gut to reverse the momentum. Massive backbreaker, Roberts got planted. Terry Funk ducks a clothesline attempt. Terry Funk and Roberts climb the cage....but both end up crashing back to the canvas after a struggle! Running knee lift from Terry Funk. Jake Roberts can barely stand. Here it comes - Piledriver. Terry Funk and Roberts climb the cage....until Jake Roberts gets knocked off by a right hand! Funker climbs to the top but instead of climb over edge looks down at Jake Robert, looks to the sky and DIVES OFF WITH A HUGE MOONSAULT!!!!! Funk collapses over Roberts 1....2....3.

Winner: via pinfall Terry Funk  (14 minutes 15 seconds)

Joey Styles: What a massive victory for the Funker he did what he told us all he flew off the top of the steel cage crushing Jake Roberts...

Jesse Ventura: But at what expense Styles, neither man is moving, the referee is opening the door we need EMT's down there now..

Joey Styles: Look Jesse, Steven Regal has just made his way out of the entrance way I don't like the look of this and now the rest of Revolution!

Ric Flair, Mr Perfect, Arn Anderson and Steven Regal sprint to ringside as the referee unlocks the cage door. Regal sends the referee flying and The Revolution enter the ring Terry Funk and Jake Robert still lying motionless on the canvas. Arn Anderson is carry a set of handcuffs, Mr Perfect has a chair in hand and Ric Flair directing traffic. Flair locks the door behind himself with a padlock he takes from his own pocket.

Regal and Anderson drag Funk off the limp torso of Jake Roberts dragging him over to the ropes before cuffing Funk to the chain link cage. Regal slaps the almost unconcious Terry Funk who slightly revives and sees Ric Flair right in front of him. Funk tries to get to Flair but can't reach him and with the renewed signs of fight Anderson, Perfect and Regal put the boots to Funk.

Roberts begins to stir in the middle of the rings and sees Revolution destroying Funk he slowly slides to the opposite corner and sits in the corner sadistically laughing. As Anderson and Perfect drag Funk to feet, Flair now has the chair in hand and levels the Funker with a destructive chair shot. Funk collapses to the floor a nasty cut appearing on his hair line and blood begins to flow freely down his face.

Cactus Jack and Ricky Steamboat appear at ringside trying to break into the cage but to no avail Roberts who has returned to his feet kicking the cage each time they begin to climb.

Jesse Ventura: Jerry Lawler has a lot to answer for his penchant for blood has not made any difference!

Joey Styles: Ric Flair is the reason for that Jesse, he and his Revolution executing a heinous attack upon the Funker. Cactus Jack and Ricky Steamboat can do nothing about it! And look at Jake Roberts viciously laughing at Funk's misfortune!

The rabid New York crowd begins to chant for RANDY SAVAGE but the scene fades to black as the chants turn to rapturous booing.

August 22nd 1992

Civic Center - Philadelphia, PA

The shows opens with a shot of the ring Ricky Stemaboat, The Great Muta, Steven Regal and Arn Anderson are all in the ring.

Joey Styles: We're kicking off things straight away tonight with tag team action

The Great Muta and Ricky Steamboat vs Arn Anderson and Steven Regal.

Muta hits a HARD spinning kick to the jaw. Spin kick by The Great Muta to the face sends the opponent FLYING across the ring. Covers for a quick two count. Muta tags out to Ricky Steamboat. Muta \ Steamboat hook up Anderson, then hit a double suplex. There's a two count on the pin. Steamboat uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Anderson kicks Ricky Steamboat in the gut to reverse the momentum. Spear by Arn Anderson. Hooks the leg for a two count. Tag to Steven Regal. Steven Regal hits a stalling suplex on Steamboat. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Steamboat takes a flying neckbreaker from Steven Regal. Steamboat powers out of a headlock. Second rope flying axe handle, Regal goes down. One day, Steamboat might even consider coming off the top with that. You know...for more impact and stuff. Tag between Ricky Steamboat and The Great Muta. The Great Muta strikes Regal. Tag to Arn Anderson. The Great Muta hits a rolling kick on Anderson. The bell rings. The referee declares that the time limit has expired, and the match is a draw.

Time Limit Draw (20 minutes 00 seconds)

Muta \ Steamboat and Anderson \ Regal don't look like they've finished! They continue to brawl in and around the ring, not stopping until a host of referees run down the aisle to break them up.

Jesse Ventura: What a match styles they went toe to toe for 20 minutes and couldn't be seperated and three of those men will be in the ring at Fall Brawl for the Global Television Title!

Joey Styles: That could possibly be the sleeper match of the show Jesse but it doesn't look like the feud between The Great Muta and The Revolution is over and we now know Ricky Steamboat is on Muta's side!

'Royalty' strikes up to a huge ovation from the Philly and the camera swings round to see Jerry Lawler walking down the ramp. King is wearing a white suit with pale blue shirt. As he gets to the ring he takes the mic from the ring announcer!

Jerry Lawler: Wow so this is Pro Wrestling USA. Over the past few weeks Ric Flair has been running round this place laying people out. The Hollywood Blondes have been insulting the lead announcer and running their mouths non-stop. Well tonight it all stops.. Tonight I have been put in charge as the new commisioner. Ric Flair you wan't to screw with me just try it, same with the Hollywood Blondes or anyone else for that matter

**37 minutes remaining**

**Commercial Break**

Joey Styles: A shock announcement before the break. Jerry Lawler is the new commisioner in PW USA at last we have some authority round here!

Jesse Ventura: This might be bad new for the Revolution, Styles

Joey Styles: You're dam right Jesse!

Brad Armstrong vs Shawn Michaels.

HBK takes a flying neckbreaker from Brad Armstrong. Spinning bulldog in the corner and HBK is down! Hooks the leg for a two count. HBK counters a sleeper with a jaw breaker and is able to get free! HBK hits a HARD spinning kick to the jaw. Spin kick by Shawn Michaels to the face sends the opponent FLYING across the ring. There's a two count on the pin. Brad Armstrong kicks the leg, knocks HBK down, and goes to work on it. Shawn Michaels fights out of a grapple. Flying elbow from Shawn Michaels connects. Brad walks into a face crusher variation. Has anyone's face ever really been crushed by one of those though? Shawn Michaels moves in for the kill. Here it comes - Rocker Dropper. 1....2...3.

Winner: via pinfall Shawn Michaels (8 minutes 01 seconds)

Shawn Michaels is still in the ring celebrating. Brad Armstrong pushes the referee away. Brad Armstrong spins HBK around. Brad Armstrong hits the Russian Legsweep!

Joey Styles: Well it doesn't look like it's over between The Rockers and Brad Armstrong yet

Jesse Ventura: This will get a whole lot nastier before it gets any better Styles!

Joey Styles: Well up next we have Owen Hart vs The Dyna...

'Space Odyssey 2001' hits the arena and we see Ric Flair accompanied by Mr Perfect walk down the aisle. Both men are wearing expensive suits and look as cocky as ever. Flair walks up the ringsteps as Mr Perfect walks around the otherside of the ring and grabs the mic. Perfect jumps up onto the apron and steps through the ropes before gracefully handing Flair the mic

Ric Flair: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania... tonight you're not going to get to see me wrestle. WHOOO... That's because I am the greatest wrestler alive today I have had Randy Savage laid out because when you have the money you have the power. Even before that I laid out your hero Terry Funk and he hasn't been back since. So now all you people saw him earlier, Jerry Lawler come out here and hand me that Global Heavyweight Title!

Flair and Perfect turn to the entrance way and await Jerry Lawler but instead of Lawler's music hitting 'Pomp and Circumstance' blares out over the PA and to a huge response and he sprints to the ring. Flair backs up and Mr Perfect goes in for the kill. Savage blasts away with rights and lefts staggering Perfect backwards. Flair sneaks up behind Savage though as he corners Perfect and Flair hits a nasty low blow!

Flair goes to work on the ribs of Savage tearing off his shirt. Underneath there are bandages wrapped round the midsection of Savage from being powerbombed on the concrete. Flair starts hammering away on the midsection of Savage. Perfect composes himself straightening his tie and grabs a chair from outside the ring and handing it to Flair...

Flair draws back the chair but from out of nowher Terry Funk hits the ring. Flair re-adjusts to hit Funk but Funk dodges and clobbers Perfect with a clothesline. Flair resets himself to hit Funk but Funk blocks the chair shot taking hold of the chair... Before he can hit Flair though, Flair hauls ass out the ring.

Funk picks up Mr Perfect who ise still lying on the canvas and throws him over the top rope and he lands at the feet of Flair. Funk tends to Savage who is seemingly in pain from the midsection shots

**25 minutes remaining**

**Commercial Break**

Joey Styles: We're back and right into more action now. Owen Hart vs The Dynamite Kid in Junior Heavyweight Action!

Jesse Ventura: This should be an explosive match Styles. Dynamite is Bret Hart's tag parter and there is a lot of tension between the two brothers Owen and Bret as has been documented!

Owen Hart vs The Dynamite Kid.

Kid just WAFFLES Hart with a STIFF chop that hurt ME to watch! Dropkick connects to the butt of the jaw and Hart goes down. Flying elbow from The Dynamite Kid connects. Hart takes a flying neckbreaker from The Dynamite Kid. Hart counters a backdrop attempt with a kick to the face and hit a clothesline! Implant DDT by Owen Hart! I will always and forever mark out for that move. Lightning kick by Hart on Kid. There's a two count on the pin. The Dynamite Kid pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Superkick by The Dynamite Kid practically knocks out all of Owen Hart's teeth! There's a two count on the pin. Back heel kick off the second rope, Hart goes down. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Owen Hart avoids a The Dynamite Kid avalanche by getting out of the damn way! Spinning back kick from Owen Hart. Kid flips out of a Owen Hart bodyslam attempt. Spin kick by The Dynamite Kid to the face sends the opponent FLYING across the ring. Brian Pillman comes running down the aisle and onto the apron! Hart turns...and is dropped throat-first onto the top rope by Pillman! Brian Pillman has left Hart in big trouble. The Dynamite Kid has Owen Hart down on the canvas and is ascending the corner. Off the top - Swandive Headbutt, forget about it. 1....2...3!

Winner: via pinfall The Dynamite Kid (8 minutes 59 seconds)

Brian Pillman is squaring in on Owen Hart he snatches the mic from the ring announcer.

Brian Pillman: Last week you cost me going further in this tournament. Now I'm putting a stop to your run here once and for all...

Pillman starts stomping away at Owen... But Dynamite Kid heads back to the ring and clobbers Pillman from behind and sends him packing. Dynamite helps Owen up who his holding his head in pain. Dynamite goes to shake Owen's hand but he flips him off leaving the ring!

**16 minutes remaining**

**Commercial Break**

Joey Styles: Before the break Brian Pillman cost Owen Hart the match intentionally this week after Owen accidentally hit Pillman last week in his match against Ricky Morton

Jesse Ventura: Things are turning ugly in the Dangerous Alliance and I don't think Paul.E is going to be able to keep a lid on it much longer.

Joey Styles: Speaking of keeping a lid on things. PW USA has had to take the lid off the rules and throw them out the window for this next match. Cactus Jack and Jake Roberts battled to a Double DQ last week and now the match has been signed. NO DQ's and Falls Count Anywhere in the Civic Center!

Jesse Ventura: This should be brutal to say the least Styles!

Jake Roberts vs Cactus Jack.

Trying to channel the spirit of Misawa, Jake Roberts ends up chanelling Lex Luger instead and nails a running forearm to the face, minus the steel plate, of course. Chair shot connects! Cactus Jack charges into the corner, but EATS BOOT and staggers backward. Fallaway slam by Jake Roberts puts down Cactus Jack. Cactus flips out of a Jake Roberts bodyslam attempt. Roberts eats a trash can, but not the contents in it, obviously. Arn Anderson-like Spinebuster by Cactus Jack, executed to perfection. There's a two count on the pin. Jake Roberts elbows Cactus Jack in the face to break a hammerlock. Spear by Jake Roberts. Covers for a quick two count. Death valley driver by Jake Roberts! No one executes that move properly anymore. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Cactus reverses a Jake Roberts hammerlock. Cactus Jack connects with rights and lefts and Jake Roberts is down! They brawl to the outside and into the crowd. Hard forearm on the outside by Cactus Jack. Hooks the leg for a two count. Cactus Jack uses a headbutt on the outside. They wind up back in the squared circle. Cactus charges into the corner but EATS BOOT. Jake Roberts gets a chair from the outside and places in on the canvas. Roberts signals for a DDT! But Cactus spins out of it and sets up for a piledriver! Roberts drops down to his knees and executes a double leg trip!. Jake Roberts gets a roll-up...and grabs a handful of tights as well! The referee doesn't see it: 1....2...3!!

Winner: via pinfall Jake Roberts (15 minutes 29 seconds)

Jake Roberts leaves the ring and heads off down the aisle at speed. Roberts has the victory, and isn't hanging around for Cactus Jack to look for revenge.

Joey Styles: Jake Roberts just stole this match with a handful of tights and he will face Terry Funk next week here on PWTV and the winner getting a spot in the Global Heavyweight Title Tournament at Fall Brawl!

Jesse Ventura: Two masters of psychology there Styles! Roberts won't be able to put one past Funk because he knows every trick in the book. Funk invented most of them himself... It should be a barn burner to say the least!

Joey Styles: Well from Jesse Ventura, I'm Joey Styles we'll see you next week!
